台荷烤肉大不同
在台灣烤肉跟中秋節的關係密不可分;在荷蘭只要天氣晴朗夠暖,就很可能聞到隔壁院子烤肉香,沒有與特定節日相連。
從台灣到荷蘭後才知道,荷蘭烤肉習慣等到全部的炭都燒白了才放食物到架子上,不像台灣只要用手隔空探探溫度適當就開始。
醬料的使用也不同--台灣通常在食物上刷一層超市買來的烤肉醬;在荷蘭烤肉時會配花生醬跟切片的長棍麵包。
In Taiwan, BBQ is regarded as a must at Moon Festival, the 15th of lunar August. People start grilling as long as the air above the coal is warm. The skewers are marinated by the BBQ sauce from the supermarket.
In the Netherlands, it is not surprising to smell the grills when it is a warm sunny day. People don’t grill until the coal turns white. The skewers have a variety of flavors such as pepper sauce or chilly. Peanut sauce is heavily consumed with the sliced baquette.
